We are still in need of Corporate, and Private Sponsors for Feb. 1st and 2nd screening event.

Funds from the screenings will go towards the following projects:

 ·          Providing pre-natal health services for uninsured and under-insured women in Dade and Monroe Counties, in the form of Service Grants to Midwives and PAs who provide services to indigent, migrant, refugee, and homeless women.

 ·          To establish a Scholarship Fund at Miami-Dade College Medical Campus Midwifery program so we can to continue the legacy of midwifery care in Miami-Dade County.

 ·          To make Labor & Delivery Units at local area hospitals more midwifery-friendly by promoting midwifery model of care through Physician Forums, Free childbirth preparation classes for women, and implementing midwifery student rotations at local clinics and hospitals.

 ·          To assist in establishing pro-life, independent, freestanding Women's health and birth centers that follow the Midwifery Model of Care in North Miami, Homestead and South Miami by 2009.

 ·          By establishing safe, comprehensive women’s centers that put the needs of women and families first, these centers can be THE sustainable model in cost effective women's care across South Florida and our nation.
